One World hosted a homeless drive from Dec 4, 2017 to Dec. 13, 2017 by sending donation boxes to rooms to aid local homeless.

During the winter, homeless people usually seek help because of the colder temperatures. One World hopes to aid through donatable items such as blankets, socks, clothing, tupperware, etc.

“Many homeless individuals and families are left vulnerable without proper shelter during the winter,” said Danielle de Guzman, senior and President of One World. “By opening a camp, the Alpha Project is benefiting the less fortunate.”

The club is donating through the non profit human services organization titled “Alpha Project”, which has opened a campsite in downtown for the homeless. The campsite serves 200 homeless people, including 45 children.

The items collected were delivered to the campsite the weekend after the donation drive.
