To give back to the community, ROTC teams participated in Knox Middle School’s parade in honor of Martin Luther King on Jan. 12, 2018.

“ROTC attended the parade in order to bring more awareness to Martin Luther King, and show our support to the community,” said Brett Angeles, Cadet Command Sergeant Major. “We wanted to be a part of making the parade more lively.”

ROTC’s armed drill team, unarmed drill team, color guard, and drum corps also performed their team routines to Knox’s students and faculty.

“I felt very proud to represent Morse High School,” Angeles stated. “The performances were the best part of the day because it was when all the students and staff really got to interact with each other.”

Knox students also participated in the parade alongside the multiple ROTC teams present.

Multiple schools were invited to the parade including Lincoln, Oceanside, and Monte Vista.
