After weeks of conditioning, the boys tennis team’s season officially starts on Mar. 1, 2018, with an away game at Lincoln High School.

The team is trying to overcome last season’s struggles, including an overall losing record. However, the highlight of last season was having four players qualify for CIF Individuals.

“Last season was unproductive and I would like to improve my leadership skills along with my overall play to compensate for what I missed last year,” said Joshua Geronilla, co-captain of the tennis team.

Due to the comeback of the coaches that the team had in 2016, the team has high expectations for this season, along with hope in winning league this year.
The team feels confident in this season because of their coaches coming back and the return of their two best players.

“I feel more confident in this season because of the easy communication with our coaches and being so familiar with their teaching styles,” explained Shaun Tayaba, co-captain of the tennis team.
