The Morse girls tennis team will continue practicing their ground strokes and serves,  leading to a match they had on Sept. 18, 2018 against Crawford High School where Morse won 13 – 5.

The main focus of the girls tennis team is to pass the love, passion, and skill for tennis to every single member along with developing characteristics that they can use on and off court.

“Crawford has always been one of the rivals that we have a hard time with because of the equality of strength in the team,” said senior captain Charyna Delos Santos.

The practices they do everyday after school consist of refining their ground strokes, serves, and foot work over the period of two hours , which helps the chemistry between teammates.

They have achieved consistency and compatibility within the double’s and single’s team  from practicing daily everyday which have outweighed the Crawford team during their match.

“Both the double’s and single’s team contributed the same amount against Crawford,” said Santos.

They also had their next match , on Sept. 25, 2018, against Mira Mesa at Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center where they prepared by the daily practices they had everyday after school.
