Due to wildfires, CSU, California State University, will extend the fall 2019 Priority Application Deadline to all applicants on Dec. 15 at 11:29 p.m.

California State University wants to ensure that all students, who struggled financially due by wildfires, are able to apply a UC campuses that they hoped for.

“All 23 campuses,” according to the California State University website, “began accepting applications for admission to the fall 2019 term through the Cal State Apply website on Oct. 1.”

All college campuses in California are closed and suspended classes temporarily through the Thanksgiving holiday to protect students from poor air quality. Those who live on campus are required to stay indoors as much as possible with windows and vents closed to prevent smoke from entering.

Scholars with financial hardships might request an application fee waiver that needs the applicant’s full name and the CAS ID. The CAS ID is located on the upper right-hand corner of the forms at Cal State Apply.

“80% of CSU students receive some type of financial aid, and more than half of all CSU undergraduates receive enough financial aid to cover the full cost of tuition.”
