The Paradise Hills Night Market was held by the San Diego Community and took place in the Penn Athletic Field from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on November 24, 2018.

Different varieties of cuisine, such as Japanese, Filipino, Cambodian, and Mexican food, were served.

Live performances, different vendors, and games were also available.

There were performances by the Major League Dance Crew, Classic Soul Singer Latanya Lockett, TRU7H, the San Diego Junior Glee Club, and more.

“Andra Day sang two songs and used to live in this area,” said Senior Marie Abegail Molina.

People of all ages were allowed to attend, although more teenagers attended than any other age group.

“They had better decorations than last years event,” said Molina.

“If you got there early enough and you had canned foods, you could exchange them for a planner,” said Senior Reigna Bautista, “It’s a good deal!”

The event is meant to highlight the roots of Paradise Hills.
